  This negative review is not for some one-off event, but rather a review of my experience using Motorserve Seven Hills for the last few years. I've found them to fall into the unfortunate stereotype of the "dodgy mechanic" who finds problems that don't exist so they can overcharge. My two most negative experiences are:
  1) I was told that I would need a new timing belt. I asked if they were sure. They told me they had inspected things thoroughly. I asked again if they were absolutely sure and was told the belt "definitely needed replacement" as it was "looking very old". I then informed them that they had themselves replaced my timing belt the year before. I was told it was a "computer error" and not to worry about the timing belt. They then called back with several other issues that "needed fixing".
  2) In my most recent service I was told that my radiator fan is "always on" and I would need to pay $1400 to replace the entire radiator module. I again asked if they were sure about this and asked about the consequences of not doing so. I was told that with the fan constantly on, I would experience significant battery drain and that the "only" way to fix this was replacing the entire radiator module. I declined and have since discovered that the radiator fan functions as designed and that there is no parasitic drain on my battery.
  In both cases I gave the employees concerned a chance to retract misrepresentations and in both cases was nearly charged for very expensive repairs that my car plainly did not need (and that were very easily verified).
  This is partially my own fault as I have foolishly used Motorserve each time very close to registration time making me quite vulnerable to extra expenses being thrown on. I would recommend finding someone either more honest or more skilled, depending on which lapse caused these issues.

  I am a NRMA customer and took my car to Motorserve for insurance repairs. There was an initial delay of one week to even take the car and then there were several extensions to the final date without an reasonable explanations. I finally spoke to the bodyshop where my car was sent and was informed that they were always waiting for Motorserve to get back to them with communication. My repairs have been delayed by more than one month from initial ETA and it is still not repaired.

  I came to get an insurance assessment for my car. I was looked after by Tom. He was really professional and explained things very thoroughly. The repairs were actually completed before the estimated time, which I was very pleased about. I would definitely recommend this place for any repairs.

  My experience with Motorserve Seven Hills was beyond my expectations, they were quick in repairing my car and the staff were absolutely amazing, I dealt with Moi who explained every detail of my car repair and the exact time it would take to repair it. I am very happy and would definitely recommend them.

  My experience with Motorserve has been really good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Special mention about Denise, he helped to get a good deal to fix the dent in my car ( this was initially not part of the service)
  
  Overall they did a good job as a team and every staff member was amazing.
